Children's Ministry Greeting Cards

I was so honored to be asked to create the greeting cards that our children's ministry at the church gives out. I wanted to share them with you. It is such a treat to create cards that are for kids and most assuredly a challenge to keep it gender neutral!

The Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and Framelits Bundle was used for the above card.

This is a "thank you for visiting card." For this one card I can not take credit for the design. I cased it from this very talented paper crafter.

This next  photo is of a simple box I made to hold the cards.

Moxie Fab Trigger: Sweet Dreams

The colors in this trigger are gorgeous! I love the rich razzleberry rug and the multitude of
different prints fashioned together.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

But what I can't keep my eyes from is the roman shade, the half opened door,
and the little glimpse of the tree outside.
I took the design of the shade and the tree outside to create the look of this card.
Obviously the colors in the photo are paired so nicely that is was easy to use them in any way together on a sketch.

Hope you enjoy my rendition of this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger.
Make sure to check out the others!

My Friend Stephanie at Burlap Kisses also submitted her trigger.
I was delighted to receive this card from her for my birthday. She knows yellow is my favorite color!

Craft brain block!

Today started out with cleaning and laundry and once I got that done
I knew I was able to craft all day!

I started by finishing up a card from last night. It came out good and I was happy with it.

After finishing that I stated to work on a new card. It wasn't going well at all! I knew the stamp set I wanted to use and a simple sketch in my head but it just didn't look right.  I knew I had to walk away when I started to just stare out the window. I was totally bummed about taking a break because I didn't want to waste my crafting day.

I walked away for a long time, wallowed in self pity while playing temple run on my phone, and then finally decided to slip the head phones on, crank up the spotify, and give it another round.

I am glad I did because I just love this card. I will be submitting it for the Stampin'Up! Design team.

I hope they like it as much as I do!
So moral of this story...don't give up, instead work toward new perspective!

Secret Garden Bouquet

One of my favorite things to do with the new Natural Trim Ribbon

is to stamp on it with StazOn. It is gorgeous and just adds a nice touch of simple flare. And of course you can never go wrong with flowers!

Hearts a Flutter Birthday Banners

Another birthday card for a fabulous friend!
I cased a card from Nicole Heady of Papertrey Ink.
She used a simalar color combo going across her card.

One of the reasons I love stamping so much is that you really get your money's worth.
One stamp can be used over and over again with different colors and on different sketches.

I am a sucker for good, gorgeous paper. But sometimes it kills me to use it because I don't want it to be all gone. Yes! I know, I am crazy. But if you are any kind of avid paper crafter, I know you have thought the same thing once or twice before! Don't deny it! =D

But with stamps, that doesn't happen. I can use freely, make as many mistakes as I want because that stamp will always be there to ink up again tomorrow. Now, that is a nice thought, isn't?!

Let's look at another card using the same stamps as the card above.

Same stamp set but a completely different look. The possibilities are endless really! Here are the stamp sets I used for these projects.

The new Secret Garden Stamp set and Framelits are amazing. I love floral everything because it always add just the right pizzaz to pretty much anything.

I made this card for a very dear friend. It is her 60th birthday tomorrow. She is one the most lovely, kind, intelligent women I know! Jesus has graced her with a luminous light that just sparkles from her! I love you Kris!
